History of Shop
Sneed’s Speed Shop opened for business in the spring of 2003 in a tiny 1000 square-foot storage building in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Chris Sneed, along with the help of his brother Kenneth and wife Kerri, made a name for the shop in rotary motors and racing. Through the years, it has grown into its current location, a 10,000 square-foot shop in Pfafftown, just outside Winston-Salem.
Chris Sneed – CEO and Founder
Having always wanted to own a race shop, Chris Sneed opened Sneed’s Speed Shop in 2003. He’d progressed from competitive slot car racing at the age of ten to professional drag racing by the age of twenty. He received an Associates Degree from Forsyth Technical Community College in Automotive Race Car Performance. Chris is the resident tuning expert, who personally tunes all cars at Sneed’s Speed Shop, and is a driving instructor for High Performance Driving Events.
Kenneth Sneed – COO
As Chris’s brother and partner in crime for their racing endeavors, Kenneth Sneed has been an influential part of Sneed’s Speed Shop since the beginning. He also holds an Associates Degree in Automotive Race Car Performance for Forsyth Technical Community College. He now leads all mechanical projects and research and development.
Kerri Sneed – CFO
Kerri Sneed is the head of finance and administration, also known as the bean counter, for Sneed’s Speed Shop. Along with that she owns Starboard Accounting & Consutling, which provides bookkeeping and accounting software consulting for small businesses all over the Triad, NC.
Cooper
After spending his delinquent youth chasing tail, (and by that, we mean his tail), Cooper “The Wonder Dawg” has come to live his days at the speed shop. He’s a 2 year old Labrador-Beagle mix. Cooper loves empty water bottles, riding in the truck, and of course, still chasing his tail.
---Sadly, Cooper has gone onto a better place where he can run free....and chase anything he wants to.----
